50+ year old No. 1 Fir 2×8’s from the West Coast
~#100 salvaged 2x8’s from a barn built about 1950 or so. The Doug Fir 2x8’s (actual dimensions ~1&5/8” thick x 7.5”+/- wide x ~12’-14’+/- long. The material is very true and dry. It is also No. 1 from West Coast Mill #49! We just don’t have many trees that will produce such high-quality stock today. [...]
