About the Old Wood Workshop

We specialize in original surface, wide plank antique flooring and historic reclaimed wood from the 18^th and early 19^th centuries.  We also carry a selection of Art & Garden Antiques, including vintage stone, iron statuary and other landscape decor.  Since 1991, we have provided quality period materials for homeowners as well as building contractors, designers and architects. We offer exceptional customer service and honest, knowledgable advice for your restoration, renovation or unique, custom building or design project.

Why is antique wood so valuable?

In the early 1990s, owner Tom Campbell started salvaging local barns in northeastern Connecticut and made furniture from the reclaimed wood.  He transitioned into deconstructing period houses and found that the best reclaimed flooring came from the attics of these buildings.
