New
Added March 20, 2025.Shamrock Mill was built in 1770 and was located in Paxinos, PA. It closed around 2012. The chestnut beams are from an addition dating to the early 1900’s. These are the best quality chestnut beams I’ve ever seen, never mind the shear quantity. The mill only processed grains and the beams were never painted or whitewashed. They just need to be cleaned. They are circular sawn. They have never been exposed to chemicals or animal waste. Material has been visually de-nailed. Very few pockets in horizontal beams as joists were laid on top. It should be used with original dark, external patina (not re-sawn into flooring). If sawn, this is furniture grade chesnut. This material is being sold in LARGE batches or all together, so please, serious inquiries only. It would be fabulous material as exposed beams in a house or great room. Material available: 3×8 chestnut joists, 8×8 and larger chestnut beams, miscellaneous chestnut planks-burnished posts-3×6 chestnut rafters-and more, 3×10 white pine joists, two-43’x12x12, matching, hewn red pine beams from original 18C mill.
