This stone would have rolled around the top of a grindstone like a wheel, often pulled by a donkey, crushing grain as it rolled. It is approximately 18” tall and 18” in diameter. It has a ‘star’ carved into each end. It weighs approximately 450 lbs. See 12’x12′ garden above.
