Added July 10, 2025.575sf (+) of super wide, antique OAK flooring. 400sf comes from a 1740’s CT salt box attic and 175sf is from a CT colonial attic of similar age and look that I had tucked away. The difference is that the 175sf batch has been washed and the 400sf batch is unwashed. The surfaces are original, straight sawn and very lightly foot worn. They could be used together in the same room once washed or used in separate applications. 8 boards from the salt box are so wide (19”-21”+) that they make up 45% of that floor. Widths range from ~ 10”-21”+ and lengths up to 17’+. As with all my original antique material, boards may need to be washed, trimmed, repaired (patching holes, dealing with areas damaged by water leaks, etc.), carefully puzzled together and installed to create a floor that suits your needs. The beauty of 200-300 year-old material is in the nature of the wood and aging process, and the primitive hand tools of the carpenters and apprentices who made one plank at a time. No two boards are identical.
Cost: (batch #442) 575sf, whole batch only, $23,000.
