This early built-in corner cupboard, c.1735, was recently salvaged from the Van Wyck House parlor in Lloyd Harbor, NY. It was the first house to be built on this harbor and boasted a 500 acre farm and a spectacular view. The piece is in great condition, but the crown molding didn’t survive the extraction and could be custom made from a sample piece I saved. The face measures approximately 58” wide and 7’8” tall and would need to be built into a corner with ample space. The glass doors are original and measure 32” across and are 60” tall. There are 5 shelves with ‘lollypops’ intact, and a beautiful ‘sun burst’ pattern made from curved wood pieces (not plaster). It features a ‘tomb stone’ sliding bottom door. The photos of the back of the cupboard show its high quality wooden construction.
