Added August 24, 2024.450sf+ of super wide, hand-planed and foot worn, antique Red Pine (aka Northern Hard Pine). Native to New England, it is a very heavy and dense wood and tight grain. It is often mixed with White Pine in old houses because they can look very similar. This is an assembled batch from different houses. It could be lightly buffed to smooth a bit more and even out the patina, but leave the ‘character’ of use. Widths range from 10” to 17”+/- and lengths of ~7’ to 13’+/-, with only a few shorts. One picture shows a darker board, but also shows the color just under surface. Batch #434 could potentially be added to this batch for a total of 600sf+. It could also be used in a room adjacent to antique white pine because they are very similar looking. As with all my floors, boards will need to be edged, trimmed and adjustments made for varying thicknesses. The square footage is a measurement of what is usable.
