Salvaged Antique Wood

Table Top Stock #3: SOLD

Single, widest (of any significant length), salvaged antique New England board I've ever come across. It was a wall board from a very early 18C. house. It has a great, original Ox Blood Red surface with the gray blotchy areas over it from the 'paste' that held the newspaper 'wall paper' on it. It is hand-planed on the red side and straight sawn on the back. Slight crown to the hand planed side, so perfect for a table top. I cleaned it up and tried to keep as much newspaper attached as I could. Dimensions: 32"W x 8'L.

Cost: $2,500
