Added August 13, 2017.This is a special stone because it is dated and initialed. The date looks to be 1771 and the initials are CEC. While you can never be sure the date was carved at that time, there is no indication that it wasn’t. The well stone was purchased in 2003 from Wayne Ayers and came from the Lebanon Center in CT. The stone measures 48″ x 53″ and the hole is 18″ in diameter.
